people tend to ask me, why do I write poetry? Wouldn't a story do?
The truth of the matter is, I can only write poems when I'm sad, When I'm feeling the bipolar blues.
and people wonder what makes me sad. well, lots of things do. but if you won't stick out your head and ask me what's wrong, or bother helping me, for that matter, why on Earth should you know what's happening?
In a story, you have to explain every detail, be it hair, feelings, or weather.
In a poem, you can use metaphors, similes, to get a point across without actually giving the real meaning.
Or maybe it's just the way I react, to my inability to express any emotion other than that of sadness, grief, anger, and depression. At times, I find these hard to describe too.
And if you're a dear friend, you'd know how important writing is to me.
Being incapable for anything, is what I am afraid of. Being unable to help when others suffer, is what I am afraid of. Being just a little speck on this earth, is what I am afraid of. Being someone without path, is what I'm afraid of.
I'm scared shitless, a fucking nervous wreck, but I'm Excited.
I'm screwed.
